a higher education

yup. husband and i have made the leap and are officially graduate students!

last month we had... some struggles. husband found a job and then lost it quickly after leaving us without one. well, after many interviews and lots of stress husband found another job. turns out the benefits of this one far outweighed those of the previous job and the company would pay for husband to get a masters degree. 100%. and so last monday we went to the campus and found out the with my gpa (and subsequently a SCHOLARSHIP!) and the discount i would get because of husband i could get a masters degree too and it would cost a couple thousand dollars a year.

well we both signed up and we start this week.

i am so thrilled.

hopefully i'll still feel that way in a couple weeks.

ALSO:

Can i tell you how nice it is to get a paycheck? We can pay our bills. I love paying bills. I'm not even being sarcastic. I love paying them and not owing any money to anybody. At least until the next month starts.

Life is good.

  1. Congrats Emily! That is so exciting for both of you. You guys are super lucky with the tuition aspect too. Jason's masters cost us a fortune (a fortune to us anyway!) and we will be paying it off for quite sometime. What is your masters in?
