Something strange
Why is it that when I walk into a room full of people who I know are experiencing completely different experiences from my own, I tend to feel extremely uncomfortable? Now, I'm not talking about race, religion, social class or any other type of distinction. The one I am talking about is much more basic than that. It is this: I just walked into the business building's computer lab and I immediately felt like a complete outsider. Completely silly I know, but I swear to you, all those business major brains sensed me walk in to the room and thought : WARNING WARNING independent thinker in our midst!!! SHUN HER! Its true. And then one by one they all turned their heads to me and stuck out their tongues as I walked by looking for an open computer. Goodness people, just because my mind doesn't think in terms of marginal gain, and measurements of utils of satisfaction and because I don't know how to concatenate cells in an excel spreadsheet doesn't mean you should look at me like that. Sheesh.
